In 2021, I tired of painting digitally for my job as a background painter for animation. Like a lot of folks during the pandemic, I went to nature for respite and healing. Light glows differently outside than it does in a screen. It’s more alive. Admidst the light in the leaves, I found myself dictating an ancient conversation between the spirits of the natural world and us.
